clisBNB is a certificate-based token with unique characteristics in the DeFi field. It is the latest product update launched by Lista DAO, bringing new features and higher asset composability to users.
By definition, clisBNB is a token obtained by users after depositing BNB into Lista DAO's collateralized debt position (CDP). It was originally designed to provide additional practicality and flexibility to users who deposit BNB collateral into Lista DAO.
In terms of functionality, clisBNB has two key roles.
First, users can use BNB collateral to borrow lisUSD on ListaDAO while still being able to participate in the Binance Launch Pool using clisBNB.
Second, clisBNB enables greater integration with other DeFi protocols by improving composability, opening up new opportunities for BNB locked on ListaDAO and enabling users to more efficiently utilize their staked BNB.
clisBNB has several key features. First, it is 1:1 with BNB. When a user deposits BNB into a CDP on Lista DAO, they receive clisBNB at a 1:1 ratio. This direct relationship ensures that for every BNB deposited, a clisBNB is created, creating a seamless link between the user's deposit and the certificate. Second, clisBNB is a non-transferable token. Once issued, it cannot be transferred between wallets or users, is only linked to the user's BNB deposit, and exists only in the environment of the Lista DAO platform, ensuring its security and centralized use. Furthermore, when a user withdraws BNB or the corresponding slisBNB from Lista DAO's CDP, clisBNB is automatically destroyed. This mechanism ensures that clisBNB always accurately represents the amount of BNB in the user's position, preventing value mismatches. Finally, clisBNB provides users with the unique ability to mint it to another address.
