Mining giant Marathon joins hands with Anduro: Whiskey tokenization opens a new chapter!
Anduro, a subsidiary of Bitcoin miner Marathon, announced a partnership with tokenization platform Vertalo to launch a real-world asset (RWA) project called Avant. The first pilot will tokenize whiskey barrels. This initiative aims to leverage the persistence of the Bitcoin blockchain to promote the deep integration of traditional finance and decentralized finance.
Dave Hendrix, co-founder of Vertalo, pointed out that this cooperation not only brings confidence to partners, but also extends the value of Bitcoin to real assets. Anduro product manager Jullian Duran emphasized that Avant will provide tokenized products that "Bitcoin users can understand" to avoid directly copying the gameplay of Ethereum and Solana.
Faced with the challenge of halving every four years, Marathon is looking for new sources of income. Duran said that the number of users who popularize Bitcoin will directly drive the increase in transaction fees, thereby promoting the development of the entire ecosystem.
