According to TechFlow, on October 6, CoinDesk reported that digital asset infrastructure provider Ripple announced a partnership with Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin to provide end-to-end payment solutions for businesses. Mercado Bitcoin will use Ripple's services to optimize its internal funding operations between Brazil and Portugal, and provide international payment support for corporate and retail customers, allowing users to trade in Brazilian reals.

Silvio Pegado, managing director of Ripple Latin America, said the service will help cryptocurrency companies streamline operations, optimize liquidity and increase profit margins. Ripple has entered the Brazilian market since 2019 and launched its on-demand liquidity (ODL) service locally in August 2022. In addition, Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently revealed that the company's US dollar stablecoin Ripple USD (RLUSD) will be issued within weeks.
