In another development, gaming giant Ubisoft is set to launch the âNiji Warrior ID Cardsâ NFT collection on the Arbitrum layer-2 via the Magic Eden marketplace. This collection will consist of 10,000 NFTs and will feature dynamic metadata that reflects player activity in Ubisoftâs upcoming multiplayer shooter game, Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. The game is inspired by Ubisoftâs popular Far Cry series and has an accompanying animated TV series on Netflix titled âCaptain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.â This marks Magic Edenâs first NFT deployment on Arbitrum and Ubisoftâs second venture into blockchain gaming, following the gothic-themed RPG Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, which is set to launch on the Oasys layer-1 blockchain.
Additionally, the NFT market has seen significant activity, with the Pods dapp recording approximately 475,000 mints and $1 million in mint volume over the past year. However, NFT trading volumes have declined to 115,000 ETH for September, the lowest since January 2021, and the number of unique NFT buyers has dropped to 30,000. In other news, Pudgy Penguins is launching âPudgy Arcadeâ machines across the US, and the first Bitcoin Ordinal NFT âAscendâ will be auctioned live at Christieâs on October 10.
