For 2013 wallets, there were 16 separate transactions, the largest of which was a transfer of 146.43 BTC on September 9. 2017 wallets were no slouches either, spending 512.9 BTC across 17 different transactions in September. In fourth place, addresses from 2014 moved 312.21 BTC across nine transactions.
Finally, the mysterious 2009 addresses moved 250 BTC. This is the first time such a spending has been made since April 7-8, 2022, when another entity moved the same amount. The main difference in 2022 is that no 2010 UTXOs were spent in April 2022, but there was one last month. A dormant Bitcoin wallet from 2015 recorded 236.38 BTC spent in seven transactions.
Additionally, there was a single transfer from 2010 of 50 BTC, along with one from 2011 of the same amount. Addresses from 2012 appeared twice last month, moving 48.99 BTC. The total of 4,066.81 BTC spent from long-dormant wallets in September surpassed August's total of 2,291.20 BTC but was still below the 6,536.17 BTC spent in July and the 4,681.438 BTC moved in June.
