Hamster Kombat's mid-season was launched on Telegram on Friday and the developers have made changes to the system while calculating the distribution of airdrop rewards.
A new season has begun in Hamster Kombat, one of Telegram’s most popular tap-to-earn games. The in-game token system has changed, and tapping the home screen no longer seems to earn you anything. Likewise, the cryptocurrency exchange upgrade list and mining menu are no longer in the game.
Hamster Kombat's Big Day is Coming
You can now earn diamonds in the game by playing both local and co-op games, inviting friends, following the game's social media accounts, and watching Hamster Kombat videos on YouTube.
There's also a new Mine submenu hidden in the Playground game menu, where you can purchase and upgrade diamond-themed starter cards, which will earn you even more diamonds.
The game developers have long promised a next season with rewards earned for playing after the airdrop, but this interim period, along with the HMSTR listing, marks a transitional period.
The#HMSTRtoken will be minted on The Open Network (TON) on September 26, and the airdrop distribution will likely be announced to players before then. With over 300 million players to date and around 100 million active players over the past month, TON developers have warned that airdrop demand could negatively impact the network. Network crashes could occur as players claim HMSTR.
