Pixelverse Expands Beyond Telegram with New MMORPG Beta
NAIROBI (CoinChapter.com) — Pixelverse, the developer behind Telegram’s PixelTap game, has launched a closed beta for its new browser-based MMORPG, marking a major step in its growth beyond the messaging platform.
The new game is set in a cyberpunk-themed world, allowing players to explore “Neopolis City” 800 years into the future. Blockchain technology is integrated into the experience.
First-Ever TON Blockchain Integration Beyond Telegram
Pixelverse has integrated The Open Network (TON) blockchain’s microtransactions into PixelTap, expanding its use beyond Telegram. The team expects a public release by Q4 2024.

Moreover, this integration marks the first use of TON microtransactions outside Telegram, allowing millions of PixelTap users to transition smoothly into the new game. As a result, players can earn, trade, and sell in-game items through Play-to-Earn mechanics.
In July, Pixelverse launched its PIXFI token on Ethereum. The company plans to bring the token to TON alongside Pixelchain, a layer-2 scaling solution. Additionally, Pixelverse has distributed NFTs on TON through PixelTap, further embedding blockchain into its gaming ecosystem.
The developer’s latest game allows players to build wealth through property ownership, trading, and crafting. The studio has moved beyond the simple mechanics of PixelTap, offering a more complex and immersive experience.
Early Access Offers Players a Head Start
Pixelverse’s closed beta is available to early supporters who qualify by holding Pixelverse NFTs or actively participating in the community. The studio says beta testers can develop their characters, acquire property, and earn quest rewards.
