# Blockchain Stablecoins Become Systemically Important Assets! 💰

According to the latest research by Bernstein analysts, blockchain-based stablecoins pegged to fiat currencies such as the US dollar are gradually becoming "systemically important" assets. Its issuers have now become the largest holders of US Treasury bonds along with sovereign states. Although it has fallen back from its peak in April 2022, the current circulating supply of stablecoins has rebounded to an all-time high of about $180 billion.
