Nintendo Switch 2 has started trending, before any official announcement. This happened after the reportedly leaked designs for Switch 2 were published on a Chinese website, and later on Reddit. Nintendo has made no comments yet. However, a source confirms the likeness of the leaked design to the company’s. 

The fresh leaks of Nintendo Switch 2 design were CAD originated along with photos of a printed circuit board. These images are unverified and were published first on a Chinese website. Later the leaked designs made their way to Reddit and started trending since.

These designs show the same likeness to the current Switch console but the screen is larger. The console also has Joy-Cons, which were previously reported in a rumor regarding Switch 2. It also has a USB-C port at both top and bottom.

Until any announcement from Nintendo, the leaks will remain unverified. Although these images may be the initial design which will be updated at the time of release. However, a source told VGC about the leaked designs matching with what Nintendo has told their partners for Switch 2 design.

There is reportedly a specification list along with these images as well. This list shows 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the contrary, the original Switch has 4GB RAM and 32 GB.

These leaked images, for now, are just hyping up the fan’s eagerness for Swictch 2 for which Nintendo will be officially announcing before April 2025. The company had already shared that the next generation of consoles can’t be expected before the end of its ongoing financial year.
