As economic sanctions multiply, particularly from the United States and the European Union, many emerging economies are looking for alternatives to free themselves from the dominance of the dollar and the euro. In response, the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) have begun the creation of an alternative payment platform. This initiative, confirmed by the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei LAVROV, would facilitate trade and investment without going through Western currencies.
