According to Odaily Planet Daily, Campbell Harvey, a finance professor at Duke University, said that Trump's announcement of the launch of the crypto project World Liberty Financial is consistent with his policy stance in support of cryptocurrencies. Although the specific details of the project and the launch time were not disclosed in the more than two-hour X Spaces, it did say that the digital token WLFI would be issued and Americans must be verified qualified investors to purchase it. This Spaces also touched on topics such as stablecoins, tokenization, access to credit and digital payment services.

Before Trump held this X Spaces, the World Liberty Financial white paper listed Donald Trump as the "Chief Crypto Advocate", Eric Trump and Donald Jr. as "Web3 Ambassadors", and 18-year-old Barron Trump as the "Chief DeFi Visionary". A disclaimer in the document stated that the company was "not owned, managed, operated or sold by the Trump family", but they might receive compensation.
