ChainCatcher reported that according to The Block, Layer 1 blockchain Aptos showed signs of growth in the sluggish crypto market. But as with everything in the blockchain field, the key lies in details and data.

Last month, Aptos recorded 5.4 million active monthly addresses, a figure that is even comparable to some more established chains. The platform also reached a peak of 578 million user transactions last month, indicating a high level of activity within its ecosystem. Meanwhile, the APT token has shown resilience, with a slight increase of 4.9% over the past 12 months.

The Block said that robot activity or airdrops sometimes inflate transaction numbers and active addresses. High transaction volume does not necessarily mean meaningful economic activity. Promotional activities and token distributions can cause temporary surges in activity. Rapid growth is exciting, but a sustainable ecosystem requires a balance between new users and retained, engaged participants.
