The layer-1 blockchain COTI unveiled plans to become the "first privacy-preserving Ethereum layer-2," according to the team: "To better serve the needs of Web3 companies and consumers, COTI will become an Ethereum-compatible layer 2 that solves the challenges of scalability, liquidity and privacy. COTI V2 will use a specialized cryptographic technology known as Garbled Circuits, performing 10 times more efficiently than ZK (Zero-Knowledge) solutions. The devnet release of COTI V2 is scheduled for Q2 2024."
