TechFlow reported on September 6 that former US President Donald Trump gave a speech at the New York Economic Club, outlining his economic agenda for a potential second term. Trump reiterated that if re-elected, he would make the United States the "cryptocurrency capital of the world." Trump said: "We will embrace future industries, including making the United States the world center for cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, rather than fighting them."

Trump also said that if elected, he would accept Elon Musk's suggestion to set up a government efficiency commission to audit federal government spending and eliminate waste. He half-jokingly said that he would appoint the "unbusy" Musk to lead the commission.
