Satoshi Told Legendary NBA Star Pippen That Bitcoin Was Headed Towards $84,000 – In Bizarre Dream
Six-time NBA champion Scottie Pippen has sparked a wave of reactions among members of the crypto community after revealing a vivid dream he had. Pippen claimed in a post on X that Satoshi Nakamoto, the enigmatic creator of Bitcoin, told him in his dream that Bitcoin would hit a new all-time high in early November.
The bizarre post came as the price of Bitcoin plunged below $56,000 after a dismal day for US stocks.
The Dream with Satoshi
Scottie Pippen took to Platform X on September 4 to share that Satoshi Nakamoto appeared in his dream to predict that the cryptocurrency would reach $84,650 on November 5.
Satoshi Nakamoto visited me in my dream last night and predicted that#Bitcoinwill be at $84,650 on November 5, 2024. This is not financial advice.

Pippen’s statement was particularly interesting because it coincided with Bitcoin falling to $55,746, its lowest level since August 8, erasing all of last month’s gains. BTC has since recovered some of its losses, trading hands at around $58,101 at press time.
The NBA legend's prediction was mostly met with mockery from X users. "Okay, so this is some weird scammer running Scottie Pippen's account," Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus, better known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto, said on Twitter.
For Bitcoin to reach Pippen’s $84,650 price target, it would need to surge more than 45% in the next two months. However, the consensus among crypto experts is that BTC’s frustrating price action will likely continue for the rest of 2024 despite the Federal Reserve’s easing of financial policy.
Pippen's Journey into Cryptocurrency
Scottie Pippen made a foray into the crypto space in 2022 by launching his own collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
In June, the former professional basketball player asked his followers for advice on whether to invest in Ether (ETH) or Solana's SOL, indicating his growing interest in cryptocurrencies.
Additionally, rumors swirled about Pippen launching his meme-based cryptocurrency. However, he eventually revealed the tokenization of the iconic 1991 NBA championship ball on the blockchain, which sparked a backlash from crypto fans.
Suffice it to say, Pippen's X-rated post earlier today appears to be another failed attempt at increasing his presence in the cryptoverse.#Binance #btc
