Avoid greed when investing. There is no free lunch in the world.
A hippopotamus forages for food by the river every day, leading a simple and contented life.
One day, the hippopotamus was enjoying the sunshine and cool river water leisurely. A hunter came to the river with a big watermelon in his hand. When the hippopotamus saw the watermelon in the hunter's hand, his eyes lit up immediately. He had never seen such tempting food before, and his heart was full of curiosity and desire.
The hunter noticed the hippo's interest and deliberately put the watermelon in his hand and beckoned the hippo to eat. The hippo slowly approached the watermelon, not noticing the steel knife in the hunter's other hand at all. Its attention was completely attracted by the bright red and juicy watermelon.
The hippopotamus ate the melon with gusto and gradually relaxed his vigilance. Suddenly, the hunter quickly raised his sword and chopped at the hippopotamus. The hippopotamus fell to the ground, and the blood dyed the river red. The hunter succeeded in hunting.
We should not be like hippos. We should always stay sober. There is no free lunch in the world. The same goes for investment. We should avoid greed.
