Let me slowly check and share some updates about Ex Populus for you!
Here is the news for December 2021:
We’ve been through a lot together since September. We successfully sold the genesis version of LAMOverse, had a spectacular Halloween airdrop, and announced GigaUnits. We also launched a few contests that were initially manually managed by our community managers and then automated with the introduction of our custom-developed Discord bot. We closely monitor the results of these contests and bounty systems. Rain-dance is a joy that brings the community together, but as bounties become increasingly automated, we're seeing less and less joy, and the conversations are becoming more and more spammy. Our goal is to build a strong, healthy community where everyone can participate together in healthy, enjoyable discussions about the Web3 economy we're all creating together. As a result, we're making some big changes to how we operate our community. Some of these changes have already been implemented, and the rest will be implemented in the coming days. Stay tuned to the announcement channel.
Quarterly Activities:
We are introducing seasonality. The pre-season will be from December 15, 2021 to January 15, 2022. Each season after that will be about 3 months. At the start of each season, your level and some characters will be reset. :) Each season will have a theme, so stay tuned.
Upgrade Rewards:
Level-up rewards have been reduced. Soon, in order to receive level-up rewards, you must link your wallet with CollabLand and prove that you own a LAMOverse asset. The intention here is to reward our true supporters and not create a spammy environment. We appreciate your support, so from now on, in order to win these rewards, you must hold a LAMO.
Invitation Rewards:
Invite rewards have not changed. You can still earn up to 1 ETH with 500 successful invites. The qualifications have changed. You or the accounts you invite no longer need to be at a certain level, but both your account and the invitee's account must be at least 1 year old. Both accounts also need to be verified and select a role.
This is very temporary. If we see abuse of this (bots and similar garbage) we will remove the feature completely.
Activities:
You can expect about 6-7 community events per day. Many of these will have Sol as rewards and will be manually awarded by admins. Some examples of events include: Raindance (yes, we are bringing it back), Pop Quizzes, Shit-posting Contests, Retweet Contests, Emoji Contests, Fan Art Contests, etc. If you have an idea, let us know. We'd love to add it!
More channels:
You spoke, we listened. Now that the general chat is open, you are free to talk about almost anything you want. Let's really become a community and resonate. There are still some things that are not allowed: spam, low-quality discussions, greetings (please go to GM chat), shit-posting (unless during competition). Otherwise, feel free to communicate and have a good time.
We will also have a newbie channel and some sort of welcome bot to help educate new members.
Last but not least, we'll have a shit-posting channel. Maybe you'll find our CEO sharing his latest meme there. LFG!
