$DOGS on the TON Network Is HOT!

Memecoins are all the rage right now, and DOGS is no exception. This latest entry in the memecoin space is inspired by Spotty, a mascot resembling the pet dog of Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who was recently arrested in France.

The DOGS airdrop caused a significant disruption, resulting in a block production outage. According to TON, "Several validators are unable to clean the database of old transactions, leading to a loss of consensus."

Interestingly, this issue occurred twice—once for six hours on August 28 and again for one hour on August 30. In between, on August 29, there was another spike in activity, with a heavy load on the network. During this period, an average of 100 transactions were processed per block (within seconds), with DOGS transactions making up to 35% of all transactions in some blocks.
