Thoughts on Fractal Network
Fractal Network as the Precursor Network (Test Network) of BTC
1. If Fractal Network moves towards KSM as the Precursor Network of DOT, then we will strongly support it. As we all know, all upgrades and innovations of DOT need to be run on the test network KSM before being launched on DOT. KSM here is just a test network for DOT, but it is an independent main network.
2. The reason why BTC network is so safe is that BTC technology upgrades are particularly cautious. For example, soft forks such as Segregated Witness and Taproot took several years and were difficult to launch on the main network. The reason is very simple. Everyone likes BTC network to maintain high security. Therefore, it is not a very clear answer to launch BTC directly before every technological innovation is tested. The core reason is that there is no test chain to run the technology first and then upgrade it on BTC, so that it is difficult to make many innovations due to the limitation of BTC source code. The difficulty of innovation has been raised to a very high level.
3. If the project party of Fractal Network positions it as the test network of BTC this time, then it will be a great thing for BTC. Because Fractal copied the BTC source code, and then used the previous technical innovations on BTC to do an experiment on Fractal to know the difference between theory and practice. In this way, Fractal can be used as an ideal experimental site for BTC. After experimenting with good and useful technologies, you can go to BTC, and this kind of upgrade is more convincing and assured.
4. If Fractal Network does not take this path, then it is obvious that there is nothing to look forward to in the future, and it is just a wave. Because as a side chain and layer2, you don’t need BTC for gas, and you have to issue your own tokens. The intention is that I will issue coins to make money first, not to make trouble.
