📢 Binance CEO Richard Teng says freezing Palestinian wallets is not political!

👋 Let's take a look at the controversy surrounding Binance and the freezing of Palestinian cryptocurrency wallets. Recently, Binance CEO Richard Teng came out to clarify that they froze some Palestinian accounts because they were involved in illegal activities, not for political reasons.

👀 The controversy began because of the remarks made by Ray Youssef, the founder of peer-to-peer Bitcoin trading platform NoOnes, on social media. In a tweet on August 26, he accused Binance of freezing the assets of Palestinian users and said it was at the request of Israeli authorities.

🔍 Teng responded to the allegations on August 28, saying that they were all "FUD" (fear, uncertainty and doubt). He also said that only a few accounts were frozen and that they were all related to illegal funds.

🌐 Teng emphasized that as a global cryptocurrency exchange, Binance complies with international anti-money laundering regulations like other financial institutions. He also expressed his desire for peace, saying, "Above all, we want lasting peace in the entire region."

🤔 However, Youssef was not happy with Teng's statement, saying that Teng was downplaying the situation, adding, "This whitewashed nonsense will not work..."

Youssef also said that Binance succumbed to pressure from the authorities and suggested that the company had "no choice" but to comply with the authorities' demands. He believes that the Israelis have enormous power, not only controlling the United States, a world power, but also influencing the global financial and media structure.

📄 Youssef also showed a Hebrew letter allegedly from Paul Landes, director of Israel's National Counter-Terrorism Financing Bureau, which mentioned the seizure of funds suspected of being linked to terrorist organizations.

🏛️ The documents show that the funds were transferred from the Dubai Exchange Company in Gaza to various crypto wallets, but did not specify who the recipients were.
