As a result of the latest recalculation, the mining complexity of the first cryptocurrency increased by 2.99% - to 89.47 T.

The block interval since the previous change has decreased to less than nine minutes, with the average hashrate reaching a maximum of 718.28 EH/s.

This indicates that Bitcoin miners continue to connect the latest generations of high-performance equipment to the network.

For example, IREN (formerly known as Iris Energy) has increased its computing power from 10.5 EH/s on August 5 to 15 EH/s at the time of writing. The increase is due to the deployment of Bitmain's Antminers T21 and S21 from previously ordered batches with a hashrate of 17.3 EH/s. Most of the rigs were delivered in June-August, TheMinerMag reports.

The company also signed a new contract with a manufacturer to purchase 39,000 units of Antminers S21XP. The equipment, with a total capacity of 10.5 EH/s, is expected to be delivered to IREN in October-November.

According to Glassnode, the hashrate smoothed by a 7-day moving average is 646 EH/s. The indicator has been recovering since mid-August, but has not yet reached the maximum of ~670 EH/s recorded in late July.

According to Hashrate Index, the hash price is also recovering from a collapse to the lows at the beginning of the month around $36 per PH/s per day. The value has risen to $42.
