Golden Finance reported that WazirX posted on X that cybersecurity company Mandiant has confirmed that the laptops used by WazirX team members were not compromised in the recent $230 million cyber attack. On August 14, Mandiant submitted a report stating that "we found no evidence that the three laptops used to sign transactions were attacked." Although a detailed report is forthcoming, the findings largely indicate that the problems that led to the cyber attack originated from Liminal. The attacked wallets are managed using Liminal's digital asset custody and wallet infrastructure. A spokesperson for WazirX said: "We fully trust the investigating agencies and will fully cooperate with them. We are actively working to recover the stolen funds and hope to bring the perpetrators to justice."
