Former President Donald Trump revealed he owns up to $5 million in Ethereum and reported earnings in excess of $7 million from his NFT projects.

However, data available from blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence shows that Trump's wallet contains around $3.57 million in cryptocurrencies, including $1.27 million in ETH and $989,000 in WETH.

Trump also reportedly earned $7.15 million in licensing fees from NFT INT LLC for his NFT collection, which includes a “Mugshot” edition and two sets of Donald Trump Trading Cards.

NFT INT sells the cards and uses Trump's name and image under a licensing agreement with CIC Digital.

Trump’s stance on digital assets has changed dramatically, marking a shift from his previous skepticism of the cryptocurrency industry. Once a vocal critic, Trump has now — as the Republican presidential candidate — made cryptocurrency a major focus of the upcoming November election.

During his re-election campaign, Trump pledged to build a Bitcoin reserve fund and make the United States a leader in the field through pro-cryptocurrency policies, aiming to foster the industry's strong growth.

Cryptocurrency asset management firm CoinShares believes that a Trump re-election could have a major impact on Bitcoin. According to them, Trump's protectionist policies and inflationary trade strategy could undermine geopolitical stability and the US dollar's status as a reserve currency, thereby creating opportunities for Bitcoin to become a hedge. However, a stronger dollar, which often goes hand in hand with Trump's fiscal conservatism, could put downward pressure on Bitcoin.

Still, CoinShares believes that a Trump presidency will create a more favorable regulatory environment for digital assets, thanks to his pro-crypto stance and the selection of J.D. Vance – a strong Bitcoin supporter – as his vice presidential candidate.

“Overall, a Trump presidency could create a mixed but potentially favorable backdrop for Bitcoin.”
