In order to build a solid community and allow users to easily use our services, we are committed to airdropping through the OCAP (Over Community Access Program). Tokens will be distributed to users who contribute to the OVER ecosystem based on three criteria: honesty, diligence, and score.
Airdrop Opportunity: Who can claim it?
OverWallet: Users who have passed Sybil detection. The airdrop amount depends on your OverWallet points, friend cards, and testnet activity.
Q: What if I fail the Sybil test?
A: Even if you fail the Sybil detection, only accounts that meet the strict criteria will receive the airdrop. Therefore, it is best to participate in the Sybil detection process.
OverNode: Users who have met the Open Beta testnet Season 1 and Season 2 activity requirements. Sybil detection is not required for OverNode airdrops.
Nethers NFT: Each NFT will be airdropped 764.64 OVER. No Sybil detection required.
OKX Cryptopedia: Participants of the Cryptopedia task will receive airdrops to their OKX wallet addresses.
HashKey Sybil Detection Task: Task participants will receive an airdrop.
The detailed criteria for the airdrop will be announced on August 30.
By the way, if you’ve been active in OverWallet, check out the following information.
More details on "OverWallet: Sybil-detected users"
a. Airdrops are an excellent way to distribute tokens to early contributors, providing them with an opportunity to participate in the mainnet ecosystem.
b. However, there is a risk of many abusive accounts that are not interested in the long-term success of the project and instead use multiple accounts or bots to pursue financial gain, a problem that has been demonstrated in many cases.
c. Such actions will have a negative impact on those who truly care about and contribute to the ecosystem.
To address this, we plan to implement several measures to block dishonest accounts and fairly distribute airdrops to users who contribute sincerely.
Sybil Detection Task
a. In May, the first Sybil detection task with Flipster (CEX) successfully screened out many accounts. The new Sybil detection task with HashKey (CEX) is designed to give a second chance to true early contributors who were unable to successfully complete the task on Flipster for various reasons.
b. It is worth noting that many abusive activities were detected during the OverWallet mission and testnet activities. Therefore, in order to receive the airdrops allocated for these activities, we strongly recommend passing the Sybil Detection Mission.
Internal Standards
a. Some genuine contributors may not be able to complete the Sybil Detection Task due to factors such as geographical or economic barriers (e.g., inability to obtain a passport).
b. To avoid disadvantaging these contributors, we will develop internal criteria to grant them the same qualifications as those who complete tasks. These criteria are based on testnet activity and will be determined after reviewing the data from the HashKey task.
c. Because these criteria will be applied very strictly, we strongly encourage participation in the HashKey mission whenever possible. For those who are unable to complete the Sybil detection, we will collect OverWallet email addresses via a Google Form on the last day of the HashKey mission.
The new Sybil detection mission will begin on Monday, August 19th.
Stay tuned for the next announcement and get ready to participate!
