According to Foresight News, Bitcoin miner Bitdeer announced its unaudited financial results for the second quarter of 2024, with a net loss of $17.7 million in the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $40.4 million in the same period last year. The miner's total revenue in the second quarter climbed to $99.2 million from $93.8 million in the same period last year. Gross profit in the second quarter increased 50.6% year-on-year to $24.4 million. Bitdeer's self-mining revenue in the second quarter increased to $41.6 million from $21.6 million in the same period last year. This is mainly due to the expansion of the self-mining computing power of its 100MW mining facility in Bhutan from 3.8 EH/s to 7.3 EH/s. As of the end of the second quarter, Bitdee held $228.8 million in cash and cash equivalents and cryptocurrencies.
