This morning, Musk and former US President Donald Trump had a Space conversation on the X platform. The conversation lasted more than two hours. The X interface showed that there were up to 1.2 million people online, and Musk said in Space that more than 60 million people were listening. Space has limits on the number of people displayed.

Former President Donald Trump did not mention Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies during a two-hour interview with X-Platform CEO Elon Musk on Monday evening, which covered topics including illegal immigration, the economy, artificial intelligence and global warming.

The interview attracted more than 60 million listeners and was delayed for more than 45 minutes due to what Musk called a "massive distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack against X". Musk said: "This massive attack shows that many people are opposed to listening to President Trump." However, a report in The Verge questioned this, with a source saying "there is a 99% chance that Musk lied about this attack". Cybersecurity watchdog group Netblocks warned that X Spaces did experience international outages, but did not confirm whether it was a DDoS attack.

On Polymarket, punters predicted a 65% chance of “cryptocurrency” being mentioned in the interview, with over $600,000 in bets placed. The prediction market also added a market asking for the likelihood of “bitcoin” being mentioned, with that probability going as high as 69%, with about $330,000 in bets placed. Each share would pay $1 in USDC (stablecoin) if the prediction came true, and $0 otherwise. Polymarket did not list markets mentioning other digital assets such as ether, solana, or dogecoin.

Gamblers have bet more than $250,000 on Trump mentioning "Tesla" with a probability of up to 79%, but Trump has avoided the word, referring only to Musk's electric car brand as "your car." Other words gamblers have bet on include "MAGA," "illegal immigrants," and "tampons." One user named "bama 1234" won more than $1 million by correctly betting on most of what Trump would or wouldn't say in the interview. The user's biggest bet was that Trump wouldn't mention "crypto," cashing out $336,918. However, he did not correctly predict that Trump would say "MAGA" (which Trump said at the beginning) or "Trans" (which the user thought Trump would say, but ultimately didn't).

While cryptocurrency has become an election issue, with Trump recently announcing a cryptocurrency policy at the BTC 2024 conference in Nashville, it has remained largely unmentioned at mainstream events such as the first presidential debate in June.
