**Bitcoin Miner Argo Blockchain Repays $35M Loan to Galaxy Digital**
Argo Blockchain has successfully repaid a $35 million loan to Galaxy Digital, a move that CEO Thomas Chippas calls a "significant milestone." This repayment, completed without impacting Argo's mining capacity, marks a turnaround from December 2022 when the company narrowly avoided bankruptcy.
Back then, Argo sold its Helios mining facility in Texas for $65 million and refinanced its debt with Galaxy. The loan was backed by Argo's mining machines.
Since then, Argo has expanded its operations, deploying 2,750 new BlockMiner machines. As of late 2023, Argo's hashrate hit 2.7 EH/s, contributing to the Bitcoin network's total hashrate of 677.43 EH/s.
