According to Deep Tide TechFlow reports, on December 30, CoinDesk reported that Kaspersky's latest report shows a new type of scam targeting cryptocurrency thieves has become popular on YouTube. Scammers disguise themselves as beginners, sharing wallet mnemonic phrases in the comments section to lure others into stealing USDT worth $8,000 from their wallets.

These wallets are multi-signature wallets, and when thieves attempt to transfer funds by paying TRX as gas fees, the TRX is transferred to wallets controlled by the scammers. Since the gas fees for most blockchains are less than $10, this scam mainly targets small-time thieves.
