According to Odaily Planet Daily, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin published an article on the X platform to discuss the definition of AGI (artificial general intelligence). He believes that AGI is AI that is powerful enough to continue civilization without humans.
Buterin pointed out that AGI marks the transition of AI from a tool that relies on human input to a self-sufficient life form. He expressed concerns about AGI and ASI (artificial superintelligence), believing that they bring the risk of loss of control.
He supports focusing efforts on building intelligence-enhancement tools for humans rather than superintelligent life forms.
