As Cointelegraph reported, World (formerly Worldcoin) published an image on X.com that parodies Spotify’s year-end report, satirizing its data privacy practices.

World’s main product is the World ID anonymous verification service, which uses eye-scanning technology “Orbs” to confirm identity and records the information on the blockchain. Users receive subsidies in the company’s cryptocurrency.

Despite World’s playful attitude, it has faced GDPR complaints in the EU and has previously suspended service in Spain, Portugal, and the Dominican Republic.

In the United States, Worldcoin tokens are not available to users due to regulatory uncertainty. Trump’s election as president could change that, but it could complicate legal disputes with Sam Altman and Elon Musk.
