According to PANews, Cobra, the operator of the bitcoin.org domain name, reminded the Bitcoin community that unidentified users plan to introduce the CTV soft fork through a user-led soft fork (UASF) in 2025.
CTV, which stands for "Check Template Verify," is an improvement on the Bitcoin contract concept that aims to enhance transaction security. Contracts allow for the establishment of spending conditions in specific wallets, such as vaults and cold storage addresses.
While the contract concept is still under discussion, the community is divided on its value. Some believe it should be incorporated into Bitcoin Core, while others are skeptical.
