PANews reported on August 9 that former Montenegrin Justice Minister Andrej Milovic posted on the X platform that he welcomed the Montenegrin Supreme Court's correct decision to postpone the extradition of Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon to South Korea, thereby preventing the execution of the lower court's illegal decision to extradite Do Kwon to the United States. Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and his close friend, lawyer Goran Rodić, are doing everything they can to prevent Do Kwon from being extradited to the United States, so as not to prevent the full investigation of the U.S. judicial authorities and review the business relationship between Spajić and Do Kwon. Milovic said the dispute was related to allegations that Do Kwon arrived in Montenegro and funded the ruling party PES, which exacerbated tensions before the election.
Milovic highlighted his efforts to use his legal expertise to block the illegal and manipulative attempt to extradite Do Kwon to South Korea, an issue that fueled his rift with Spajić and ultimately led to his own dismissal. Milovic insisted that Kwon should be extradited to the United States rather than South Korea to fully expose what he alleges were allegedly corrupt dealings between Spajić and Kwon that caused huge financial losses to U.S. and global taxpayers while reaping illicit gains for Spajić. Milovic’s comments follow the recent decision by the Montenegrin Supreme Court to postpone Do Kwon’s extradition to South Korea.
