Considering ETH's large market capitalization, it is very rare that it has still achieved significant gains over the past year, and it still outperforms most projects.
If BTC holders always take "must win every time" as the standard, it will be difficult for them to hold BTC for a long time, because in the first two bull markets, BTC's short-term gains lagged behind many other currencies.
This year, the SOL ecosystem has performed very well, and many top projects are very strong. These are the real builders left after the collapse in the past two years.
But I still maintain my original view. Before there are truly innovative breakthrough applications in other ecosystems, I will not be overly worried or questionable about the ETH I hold. I believe that the Ethereum community has always adhered to the correct principles and is on the right path.
As said a few days ago, meme is an unpredictable emotion, sometimes in this ecosystem, sometimes in other ecosystems. I think it can occasionally maintain popularity, but it is difficult to become the basis for the continued prosperity of the chain.
We should allow for imperfect trends and tolerate occasional stagnation.
Regardless of the current asset size, the first thing to do is to respect objective facts. The market anomalies this year are obvious. ETH's ETF is approved, and in the next half year, the rise and fall of BTC will remain moderate, then I think our industry may officially enter the stable development period from the early dividend period, that is, the slow bull stage. At this stage, the industry will no longer have obvious cyclicality, and BTC and ETH are unlikely to experience violent fluctuations of more than 50%-60% in the short term (within a year).
If it really enters a period of stable development (slow bull), then the risk of investing in any small currency will be greatly increased. The tokens of most projects no longer have an influx of 5-10 times new entrants to help you unwind at a high level, and there will no longer be extreme FOMO sentiment to push up the prices of most currencies. More will be the gradual accumulation of value and the slow formation of consensus (note that I mean most, not all).
