CoinVoice has recently learned that Hardhat Chad, the founder of Solana’s on-chain mining project Ore, released an update to ORE v2.

The new version will be upgraded in three phases (upgrading v1 token metadata, activating v1 to v2 upgrade, and activating mining). The version update aims to improve the project's decentralization and user participation. The specific contents include: canceling the administrator variable and using open source algorithm management; the total supply is limited to 21 million, and mining is expected to be completed in 2064; introducing a staking mechanism, with up to 2 times the mining reward; optimizing the anti-sybil attack strategy; smart contracts can be upgraded in the early stage, and will be permanently frozen in the later stage; v1 tokens can be exchanged for new ORE tokens at a 1:1 ratio within 3 months.
