According to U.Today, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently addressed the topic of interoperability in Cardano's original roadmap during an interaction on X. Responding to a tweet from a Cardano community member, Hoskinson confirmed that interoperability was indeed part of the initial plan and has been achieved with partner chains, with Midnight being the first of many.

At an event in Brazil, Hoskinson discussed the future of blockchain technology, emphasizing that identity, privacy, and interoperability are likely to be the defining features of next-generation blockchains. He highlighted the Midnight Network as an example of a blockchain poised to drive mainstream adoption due to these features.

In a significant development, Cardano Node 9.1.0 has been released, marking a major step toward the Chang hard fork. This release is the final version needed to bring on-chain decision-making to Cardano. According to a Github release, Cardano Node 9.1.0 includes all necessary features for the upcoming Chang hard fork. Unlike its predecessor, Node 9.1.0 requires a Conway genesis file at launch, which is essential for navigating the Chang hard fork.

The node release also includes several bug fixes and enhancements to the CLI and API, such as a 'query treasury' command and changes to ensure compatibility with CIP69 and CIP119.
