What does Honda's closure of its Chinese factory mean?
There are at least three reasons:
First, Japan and South Korea have both exceeded 90% of their own cars in their home countries, while Chinese cars have only just exceeded 60% in China. Therefore, in the battle to defend Chinese cars in their home countries, Korean cars have long been defeated, and the Japanese cars' retreat is just a breather.
Second, in the eyes of the Japanese, they see the rise of Chinese cars and always think that they have stolen their technology. The shortcomings in EVs have brought shame to them, and closing the factory is just the last fig leaf for their arrogance.
Third, China's pursuit of quality
The living standards of the Chinese have improved, and the "Alto" era has ended for so many years. Some "Japanese cars" that are still moving forward with their heads down are bound to withdraw and conform to the times.
