8 people were sentenced to three years in prison for illegally raising more than 40 million yuan by using the gimmick of "1 FIL coin can get 2 times the profit"

According to TechFlow, the Procuratorate of Jingkou District, Zhenjiang City recently announced that the court sentenced Li Mou and eight others to three years in prison with a three- to five-year reprieve for the crime of illegally absorbing public deposits, and imposed a fine of 210,000 to 250,000 yuan.

Under the guise of "1 FIL coin can earn 2 times the profit", these people claimed to cooperate with mining machine manufacturers to carry out Filecoin staking mining. Through the self-developed FPM App, they attracted more than 10,000 members in less than a year, accumulating more than 400,000 FIL coins, and the amount involved exceeded 40 million yuan.

The case involved multiple provinces and cities including Jiangsu, Guizhou, and Hunan. The prosecutor said that the suspects used the large amount of FIL coins they absorbed to pledge "mining" in cooperation with mining machine manufacturers, and they were still generating income at the time of the incident.
