CrowdStrike said it is understanding how the issue (which caused global chaos yesterday) occurred and is conducting a thorough root cause analysis to determine how the logic vulnerability occurred.

"We are committed to identifying any foundational or workflow improvements to strengthen our processes," the company said. "We will update the results of the root cause analysis as the investigation progresses. Systems not currently impacted continue to operate as expected and are not at risk of such an incident in the future."
