Will the Popular Telegram Coin Hamster Kombat Be Banned?
Chairman of the Banking Committee of the Russian State Duma, Anatoly Aksakov, demanded that Telegram's tap-to-earn game Hamster Kombat be banned, stating that the game "manipulates" the human mind.
Russian lawmakers expressed concerns about the Hamster Kombat game on Telegram. Aksakov claimed that the game had “clearly fraudulent” features and could harm its users.
In an interview with local media, Aksakov stated that the State Duma has not yet studied the issue in detail, but a meeting will definitely be held. Aksakov stated that Hamster Kombat could be a fraud trap targeting individuals who aim to get rich quickly and easily by playing games.
Aksakov said: “Such things need to be stopped. This is clearly fraud in my opinion. "He is trying to manipulate people's psychology, especially those who do not want to work and dream of getting rich with minimal effort by playing a game," he said.
Aksakov pointed out features of the game such as additional missions that promise additional earnings and enable faster progress, emphasizing that these are often associated with fraud. He also expressed concern that the public's increased sensitivity to external influences could lead to negative consequences.
“Unfortunately, lately there has been a clear trend in which the masses are becoming more sensitive to external influences, which often leads to extremely negative consequences,” said Anatoly Aksakov.
The Telegram-based cryptocurrency game entered the market in March. Here, users can mine HMSTR coin by operating a virtual cryptocurrency exchange.
