According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (LegCo) recently released a discussion paper revealing the progress made by Cyberport in developing the Web3 and encryption ecosystem. Currently, more than 270 Web3 companies have joined Cyberport, and more than 120 Web3 companies have been added in the past 16 months.
Hong Kong allocated $50 million in its 2023-24 budget to advance the expansion of Cyberport’s Web3 network. The founders of these companies come from more than 20 countries and regions, including Japan, the United States and India, in addition to local innovators.
