- The Russian founder of Bitzlato, Anatoly Legkodymov, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for facilitating illegal crypto transactions worth more than $700 million. However, he will not serve additional time, since he has already spent that time in prison.

- The judge took into account the difficult conditions of detention in the Metropolitan Detention Center, where Legkodymov was being held, and decided not to increase the term.

- Bitzlato was associated with Hydra Market, a famous black market that closed in 2022. Prosecutors say Bitzlato was a "haven for extortion criminals."

- As part of the plea agreement, Legkodymov dissolved Bitzlato and renounced claims to assets worth more than $23 million.
