Cyvers Alert reported a major security breach affecting WazirX, India’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. The exchange’s Safe Multisig wallet on the ETH network was found to have multiple suspicious transactions, resulting in $234.9 million worth of funds being transferred to a new address. These transactions were executed by entities funded by the notorious cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash.

The stolen address has been actively exchanging various digital assets (including PEPE, GALA, and USDT) for ETH. Despite our efforts to contact WazirX, we have not received a response, indicating that malicious actors are likely in control of the secure wallet.

Whale Alert initially spotted these massive transfers, highlighting the withdrawal of 5.4 trillion SHIB, valued at $102.13 million, from WazirX to an unknown wallet.
