Singapore, July 4, 2024 - Piggycel, an IoT-based blockchain RWA project, has received investment from the global mainnet Internet Computer (ICP) and joined the ICP Olympus accelerator program.
Piggycell is a blockchain RWA platform where users can experience IoT-based Charge To Earn (C2E) while charging. It is a decentralized platform connected to Piggycell, South Korea's largest shared power bank service with more than 3 million users.
Announced in April 2024, the ICP Olympus program is an accelerator program for the world’s 24th-ranked (as of CoinMarketCap data as of June 23, 2024) L1 mainnet operated by the Swiss DFINITY Foundation.
The program supports promising projects to grow into high-quality large-scale projects in the ICP ecosystem through the participation of investors and mentors such as Distributed Capital, SoftBank Vision Fund, and Cypher Capital.
Jake Park, CEO of ICP HUB Korea, said, "Through this investment in Piggycell and approval to participate in ICP Olympus, we will fully support the Piggycell project to grow into a top global project and demonstrate ICP's technology and stability through Piggycell."
The Piggycell C2E platform is planned to undergo closed beta testing (CBT) and be officially launched this year.
About Piggycell
The Piggycell project is a groundbreaking initiative to drive real-world applications and mass adoption of blockchain technology. By creating digital twins of the already successful Web2 project Piggycell assets in the virtual world through blockchain, the project aims to inject new features and concepts into existing assets, thereby generating higher value and achieving true blockchain innovation.
