On May 16, Telegram launched a memecoin called Notcoin (NOT, not yet rated).
Spoiler alert: it’s actually a coin.
Some of you may remember that my colleague Marija Matić did an in-depth look at NOT and the chain it is based on, Toncoin (TON).
She wanted to make sure every Telegram user knew that if they played in-app games, they had a chance to earn this token for free.
That’s because the Toncoin network was launched by Telegram. And, I’m sure you’ll agree, free memecoin is a great way to attract people’s interest.
Telegram even makes it easy to claim NOT coins. Users can earn NOT coins simply by clicking a few buttons every day, a process called “tap-2-earn.”
Now, since users can get it for free, you would think that it wouldn’t be completely abandoned once it starts trading on exchanges.
But that’s not the case (pun intended). Just look at its price list:

Today, NOT has a market cap of $1.6 billion. It has risen 4x from its all-time low and is expected to continue its upward trend.
Not bad for a token that’s distributed for free and all you have to do is click on the app a few times a day!
Targeting Another Free Token
Now, you may have missed your chance to NOT buy in, but that’s why it pays to keep an eye on cryptocurrency news. Because Telegram plans to launch another tap-2-earn token.
Like NOT, Telegram users can mine tokens by playing in-app games.
