Soccerverse, the creator of the online game of the same name, announced it had raised $3.1 million led by Japanese gaming giant Square-Enix on July 11. The game, available in beta, is a blockchain sports simulation similar to the Football Manager series. Users can take on different roles, such as coaching a team or representing a player. 🎮

Square-Enix led the latest funding round along with previous investor Hiro Capital. The total amount of funds raised is $4 million.

The timing of the funding could be significant for Soccerverse. If Soccerverse can capitalize on the hype, it could pay dividends.

Soccerverse CEO Andy Gore expressed his plans for the raised funds: "This investment will allow us to reach new levels of excellence and reach a global audience."
