According to Foresight News, a Dutch court has rejected the bail application of Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev, who will continue to serve his sentence pending an appeal trial. Pertsev’s defense lawyers Keith Cheng and Judith de Boer said that Pertsev would not abscond and that he needed to be online to prepare for the appeal trial.
Pertsev was arrested in the Netherlands in August 2022, and another Tornado Cash developer, Roman Storm, is due to stand trial in the United States in September.
