This is the first time that Monero cryptocurrency has been converted into cash in the UK, showing the intensity of the crackdown on criminal activities involving privacy currencies.
The drug dealer who was sentenced to 28 months in prison for selling deadly weight loss drugs on the dark web has been forced to hand over £23,000 in assets or face an extra eight months behind bars.
