[Introducing Eviden digital passport solution powered by IOTA]
IOTA has partnered with Eviden to launch the Eviden Digital Passport Solution (EDPS), one of the first digital product passports that uses IOTA technology to track the life cycle, carbon footprint and sustainability of car batteries. This collaboration aims to promote the application of decentralized ledger technology (DLT), promote long-term cooperation and expertise, and explore new applications of IOTA technology in industries such as global digital trade, autonomous identity, and data monetization.
EDPS provides detailed information on products from production to disposal and recycling, enhancing transparency, traceability and sustainability. The Digital Product Passport includes a product’s carbon footprint and sustainability details, ensuring manufacturers meet environmental standards and promote environmentally friendly practices, while providing details on durability and performance to comply with regulatory requirements.
Eviden integrated IOTA EVM into EDPS, creating “EDPS powered by IOTA” and becoming the DLT stack of choice for customers. This collaboration fosters co-innovation between IOTA and Eviden, driving further development of their respective technologies and solutions. IOTA EVM provides a DLT engine for EDPS to ensure the security, transparency and immutability of transaction records, suitable for managing large amounts of data and high transaction rates, and preventing data tampering and network attacks.
