$BTC The City of Santa Monica, California đșđž is making history by opening an official Bitcoin office. The City Council unanimously voted to pilot the office, in partnership with the nonprofit Proof of Workforce, at no cost to the city.
This office has four main goals: supply
- Provide education about Bitcoin
- Facilitate partnerships and conferences to develop tourism
- Connecting residents with jobs
- Explore sustainable Bitcoin mining using the city's renewable energy.
