Odaily Planet Daily News Microsoft and Apple gave up their observer seats on the OpenAI board of directors under antitrust review. Microsoft announced that it would withdraw from its board observer seat immediately, while Apple did not participate in the observer seat. OpenAI will keep in touch with partners and investors through regular meetings. A spokesperson for OpenAI said: "We thank Microsoft for its trust in the board and the direction of the company, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership." OpenAI's 8-member board of directors includes Sam Altman, as well as former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers and Instacart CEO Fidji Simo. Its board of directors is chaired by Bret Taylor, former co-CEO of Salesforce and co-founder of AI startup Sierra. (Financial Times)
